Tilray All-in-One THC Vape Pen: Frequently Asked Questions

Learn more about Tilray’s new All-in-One THC Vape Pen based on common questions asked by patients like you.

What’s in the Tilray All-in-One THC Vape Pen?

High-potency THC distillate. No added flavours, dilutents, vitamin E acetate or carrier oils – just broad-spectrum high-THC extract.

Distillate is a translucent oil without waxes or other undesirable byproducts of the original plant. Distillate concentrates are made through an extensive refinement process that separates compounds from cannabis plant matter. Distillates have a neutral taste and scent, which some patients appreciate.

The hardware is designed by Jupiter, one of the largest suppliers of vape hardware to the global market, and selected for its proven in-market safety and consumer experiences. The hardware is manufactured in China and then filled & packaged at our state-of-the-art facilities in Canada.

Which cannabis varieties do you use to make THC distillate?

Tilray extracts are made in our GMP-certified facility in Nanaimo, B.C., using byproduct from whole flower crops. The refinement process strips out much of the plants’ characteristics leaving little taste or smell.

What’s the difference between a vape pen and a vaporizer you currently sell as an accessory?

Dry herb vaporizers, like those sold in Tilray’s accessory shop, are designed for use with dried cannabis flower. Vape pens contain a THC concentrate made from cannabis plants in a self-contained unit. Unlike dry herb vaporizers, vape pens do not need filling or charging – the vape pen comes ready to use.

How do I use it?

The vape pen is breath activated. You simply remove the pen from its child-resistant packaging and inhale on the mouthpiece end of the pen. The pen’s tip will light up, telling you that it’s working.

How long will my vape pen last?

It varies among patients, but you will get up to 200 inhalations with each battery in the self-contained unit. You don’t need expensive charging cables as the battery is designed for the duration of use.

The device doesn’t indicate when the pen is nearly empty, but you will notice an empty tank, significantly reduced vapor productions and a change in taste.

Once the pen is empty, please dispose responsibly according to your area’s waste management program.

What if my vape pen leaks or clogs?

You can often clear a clog by continuing to try to use the device. It may take five to 10 hard pulls before the clog clears up.

If you can’t clear the clog, your pen leaks, the battery dies or any other issue with your vape pen, please contact Patient Services for more troubleshooting support.

What’s the best way to store my vape?

It’s best to store your vape pen between 10-40 degrees C and avoid extreme environments, like leaving the pen in a hot car in the summer or outside in winter. This will also help prolong battery life.

Store your vape pen upright to reduce potential for clogging.

How do I know how much THC is in the vape pen?

Tilray vape pens contain a target concentration of 425 mg in 0.5-gram fill. Health Canada requires potency to be stated in milligrams per grams, so you will see total THC potency stated as 850 mg/g on the label*.

Are you going to offer more formulations in the future, specifically a high-CBD option?

We're continually researching and evaluating new products and formulations for our patients. We don't have anything official to announce at this time, but we're continually seeking feedback from our patients on current Tilray products as well as other form factors that would be beneficial.

*Target concentration. THC & CBD levels vary by lot.
